Confidence Notes

"They have extreme confidence and professionalism and bring a sensibility along."
- Robert Altman, Director, About his all-star cast in the movie
Prairie Home Companion

Having personal confidence creates a naturally relaxed atmosphere that you carry with you as you move around your day. Here we are focussing on confidence in your self, and who you are, opposed to confidence in something you do very well.

Having skills or variuous abilities that you are sure of, is a part of overall confidence. It helps you develop the mindset that carries you along in life. A sense of knowing that you are good at doing something, allows feeling to flow through you and usually creates good or great results.

The struggle that most of us have is carrying this sense of confidence throughout all areas of life.

With personal confidence you have a sense of certainty with little or no doubt. You are more positive and more assertive, while maintaining an easy–going style. Being less ruffled, less tentative, leads you to more aware choices and decisions.

When we know and appreciate ourselves and who were are, we have a stronger feeling of trust and openness, leading to more creativity and possibilities in our life.

Confident people are generally less nervous, indecisive, unsure and often less timid and shy.

Understanding who you are, what you have to work with and being comfortable with that, allows you to be more aware and tuned, leading to understanding and confidence in others.
